On Langeland you can enjoy the present, find peace and contemplate the meaning of life while being out in the open country. ‘’Come and be’’ for a day, for a week or what about for the rest of your life? You could start by going for a cycle ride or a walk round Langeland on your own. Should you get the urge to explore our cultural inheritance in detail we recommend guided tours in places like Tranekær Castle, Broløkke Manor, Skrøblev Manor, the organically run Skovsgaard Manor, the Langelandsfort or Rudkøbing. The season’s fruit and vegetables are sold from small roadside stalls, freshly baked bread from our local bakers and freshly caught fish at many of the seven harbours on Langeland. If you find art and culture interesting, we have a large range of fascinating art galleries and performing artists, and by looking through our Activity Calendar on www.langeland.dk you can find a world famous star giving a classical concert in Stoense Church. During the summer time it is easy to find a big or a small event in which you might wish to participate. The Langeland Festival is the most famous, but many other musicians come to play in Rudkøbing, Lohals and Bagenkop. Finally, the good old fashioned harbour festivals should be mentioned - we look forward to welcoming you.
